TAMBOURIN CURRY & BAR
One of the characteristics of Sri Lankan curry is that the curry and side dish are served on a plate and mixed together. "I liked the fact that there is more than one flavor," says owner Nagata Yuki. Nagata, who also plays in a band, said he saw potential in curry, which has a high degree of freedom, just like music.
The signature dish, "Today's Sri Lankan Curry," is a coconut-based adaptation of Sri Lankan flavor, with an exquisite balance of aromatic spices and side dishes with a variety of flavors and textures. The basmati rice used is fragrant and subdued, enhancing the flavor of the curry and side dishes.
There are also many dishes that go well with alcoholic beverages and snacks, and Nagata recommends white wine. It seems that many customers enjoy curry with alcohol not only in the evening, but also at lunch.
Since setting up his shop in 2015, sister restaurants Biryani Shokudo and Devil Curry have opened in Kita-Senju, and the flavors that Nagata creates have captivated spice lovers.
