Okawacho Hikawa-jinja Shrine

The enshrined gods are Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Ukanomitama-no-Mikoto, and it is said that the shrine was originally built praying for the coming of Susanoo-no-Mikoto as a god to Kawada cultivated land of Senju 5-chome in 1294. It moved to the current location in 1913 when the Arakawa drainage channel (current the Arakawa) was excavated. In the precincts, there are "Paper Suki Monument", a tangible cultural property registered in Adachi, and Fujizuka mound, a tangible folk cultural property registered in Adachi.

Teikyo University of Science

Ghost chimney monument

The four chimneys of the "Senju Thermal Power Station" that used to be in Senju were once called "ghost chimneys".
Since the four chimneys were arranged in a thin rhombus, the number of chimneys changed depending on the viewing angle, which is the origin of the name.
A part of the dismantled ghost chimney material is currently placed as a monument on the Senju Campus of Teikyo University of Science.

Goshiki Sakura no Sanpomichi

From 2009 to 2015, Adachi City launched a project "Furusato Sakura (Heisei Goshikizakura) Owner System" to collect donations for planting cherry trees, in order to revive "Arakawa's Goshikizakura", which was once one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in Tokyo. 458 cherry trees owned by the residents have been planted in the section of about 4.4km (from Shikahama Bridge to Nishiarai Bridge) on the left bank of the Arakawa River.

Goshiki Sakura OhashiOpened in 2002 as part of the Metropolitan Expressway Central Circular Route.
The origin of the name is "Goshiki Zakura" which was in full bloom on the Arakawa bank until the early Showa period.
Although the cherry trees have died once, they are growing by planting them under the system of Furusato Sakura Owner. You can enjoy seeing the collaboration between cherry blossoms and the bridge in the spring.

As the park remembered in connection with Arakawa Goshiki-zakura, about 20 Homecoming Sakura are vying with one another in beauty in the spring.
Homecoming Sakura: It means Arakawa Goshiki-zakura sent to Washington in 1912. The original cherry trees have withered after the embankment construction or by pollution. So the branches of the original tree from Washington were gathered and planted again in the park as Homecoming Sakura.
