【self-introduction】

I discovered making things with metal when I entered university. I create my works using the metalworking technique of drawing, which involves freely shaping shapes using copper plates about 1mm thick and a hammer. I create my works while thinking about what kind of shape will bring out the best in the drawing technique.

・Hashimoto Mahoro

Graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design, Department of Design and Crafts, majoring in dyeing. Using the techniques of Yuzen dyeing, she creates works with the theme of overlapping memories. Through the fluctuations of colors and lines that permeate the fabric, she portrays landscapes that remain in someone's heart.

2024: "novae vol.1" Grand Prize Winner and Commemorative Solo Exhibition (Art Complex Center)

2025: "Iimebakurame in Nagoya" Grand Prix and Monthly Art Collectors Award winner

【self-introduction】

Every time she moves her hands, scenes and emotions from her memory come to mind. By layering these fragments onto the fabric, she paints a world that resonates gently with the viewer's memories.
